Rony is an immigrant who came to CIR because someone told him that we could to help him to open his business looking to legally. He was confused and disoriented about the legal procedures to open a business in the manner prescribed by law.
I am so grateful to CIR for the opportunity to enhance my skills for my calling by God to reach out and help the immigrant communities living here. God has given CIR the ability to see what the needs of the immigrant community are and the desire to meet those needs. The training CIR provided through the immigration law class and the shadowing hours is just one way they show that God loves the immigrant.
When we came to this country, we were so happy. It had been 7 years since we lived with our mom and we aren't sure the courts would let us stay. Now, because of the help CIR has shown us, we are free to grow together as a family. CIR's Shepherd Project has helped us to find a lawyer and get the help we need to stay together.
Recently, Lupita was granted Legal Permanent Resident status and has her Green Card! The day she picked it up from the CIR office she was at a loss for words. Her eyes brimmed over with tears and she repeated, "I just can't believe it." Lupita and her husband are waiting on his Green Card to arrive. They ask us to keep them in their prayers. We pray that God uses CIR in many ways to help our immigrant communities.
