We work within low-wealth immigrant communities to provide improving the safety network of the community at large to bring about lasting change. Our philosophy has been to provide people with tools and resources needed to better themselves, while at the same time better connecting them with the community at large.
Immigrant communities should not and do not operate in isolation. CIR exists to form a bridge between immigrant communities and the community at large as we enrich and empower the whole community, strengthening relations between cultures and eradicating cultural misconceptions on both sides.
Our local success has prompted us to embrace partnerships with nonprofits and churches across the state to expand our area of influence. Faith-based nonprofits and churches are ideal partners for us, as they are a trusted presence in immigrant communities and a natural place for them to turn to with their needs. The resulting relationships are never one-sided, as we advocate innovative ways for people to bless and be blessed by the immigrant who lives in our midst.
